Hi there!  Living in the big city and having vulnerable sector children I really appreciate items which will keep us all safe.  This alarm — though not a new thing is an awful tempting purchase.  Our kids help us walk our dog around the block, walk off buses after dark at night, walk to the nearby mall and the local Tim Hortons 😉 all the time.  Each day I keep having to prayerful turn their welfare over to God.  Their safety is truly beyond my control.  I would never let my concerns be known to my confident trusting children — but they don’t read my blogs anyway. But as a parent I want a “happily ever after” sort of life for my kids — like every other parent.  I trust my kids — but suffer with a lack trust of others. 🙂

Anyways — Here is a link for a good looking safety alarm which came across on my Facebook:

https://safelifealliance.com/safety/personal-security-alarm-3-fb.php?country=Canada&utm_source=fb&utm_campaign=personalalarm&utm_medium=pagepost_feeds&utm_term=purchasers_email_list&utm_content=best_defense_against_attacker&sxid=k389r62229u0

These alarms run about $14 each.  Amazon.com claims to have: “Best Personal Alarms of 2017 – Top Rated Models.”  The site truly has a competitive list plus a top pick section: https://sospersonalalarm.com/

Amazon.ca has an amazing selection as well: https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=personal+alarms+&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Apersonal+alarms+

Thanks for letting me “Sound off”.  I think that having a loud safety device might buy some time when there is a bad situation going down.  I almost bought the street defender model but the shipping was like $20 — so I am still looking.

Hi there! I am on Facebook under Veronica Aukema. Please feel free to check my Facebook page out. Although there is a lot of information provided about me there is a lot left out unstated. Between the lines -- you may gather upon a closer scrutiny that there is someone in my life who lives with Autism. Truth is there are two. John and I have three children and two of them live with Autism, and they are: a 20 year-old young man and a soon to be 18 year-old young woman. The original title of my lay press blog was going to be: "One Foot in 'Aspie' world -- and the other upon a banana peel." However since I also want to blog on health trends, faith and just plain 'what I learned the hard way', as well as -- autism issues "Straight Talk" was born. As I am a European Canadian and tend to be quite straight forward -- it kind of fits. Let the conversing begin. Always-- V'Ron
